Meditation at Passages Malibu
Meditation helps calm the nervous system and build the inner skills that support lasting recovery — like emotional regulation, present-moment awareness, and the ability to respond (instead of react) to stress, cravings, and triggers. With guided practice, clients develop clarity, resilience, and a steadier sense of self.
Meditation at Passages Malibu
Meditation is the art of quieting the mind and allowing yourself to tune into your innermost feelings.
Meditation as a mindfulness practice allows you to reduce anxiety, increase focus, and allow for deeper
reflection and insight development. At Passages, we offer meditation classes several times per week where
a certified yoga instructor guides you through breathing exercises, guided imagery, and mindfulness
exercises.
We believe this practice can help with the consolidation of the individual therapeutic work you do,
allowing you the space and skills to reflect and process the transformational work you are doing. This is
also a coping skill you can take home with you and master throughout your recovery from drugs and alcohol.
