Outpatient Treatment at Passages
Many clients choose to continue their progress through our outpatient treatment program after completing
residential treatment. Passages outpatient programs are highly recommended because your treatment team
understands our philosophy and is already familiar with your treatment history.
You may also choose to stay in one of our sober living homes while participating in outpatient care.
Like the other programs we offer, outpatient treatment at Passages is holistic, individualized, and non-12 Step.
Outpatient Treatment Program Breakdown
Outpatient programming offers structure and accountability while you reintegrate into daily life. Below is an overview of two common levels of care at Passages.
1) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
3–4 hrs/day • 3–5 days/wkOur Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a 3–4 hour per day program designed for 3–5 days a week. Intensive Outpatient is an opportunity for clients to return to their work or other daily routines and utilize treatment as ongoing support in early recovery. The focus at this level of treatment is on reintegration into daily life and structuring your life around your newfound recovery. Our team of certified experts will help you create a supportive and healthy community, set work or career goals, and overcome any new challenges that may arise in early recovery.
2) Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
6–7 hrs/day • 5 days/wkOur Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a 6–7 hour program that meets five days per week. This level of care is intended to be a slight departure from residential care with a strong emphasis on accountability and structure. Clients in this program focus on integrating the improvements they have made while in a residential program and set long-term goals for their treatment. At this level, clients prepare for the return to work or engagement in other life purpose activities that begin when they transition on to IOP.
